Tierney being tracked by Bayern Munich

Kieran Tierney is being tracked by Bayern Munich as he continues to grow in stature at Celtic.

After an impressive season last year, Tierney is continuing to impress under Brendan Rodgers.

According to a report from the Daily Express, the Bundesliga giants sent a scout to Glasgow when they faced Manchester City last week.

Although a move away from Celtic is very unlikely at this stage, it is a testament to the young defender that one of Europe’s biggest clubs are watching his development closely.

The 19-year-old went toe-to-toe with one of Europe’s hottest prospects in Raheem Sterling, and forced the winger to track him time and time again down the left wing.

So far this season the young left-back has continued to impress fans with his no-nonsense defensive approach and his relentless attacking play.

In his 16 appearances this season in all competitions he has provided eight assists – including two on his 50th appearance for the Hoops against City – which is a very impressive return for a defender.

Tierney will join the Scotland squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania and Slovakia.

He will return to domestic action for Celtic against Motherwell in just under a fortnight ahead of a crucial game agaisnt Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League.
