Five players that left Celtic too early

Celtic’s youth academy has a good track record of developing young talent into first-team players, with the likes of Kieran Tierney and James Forrest being current examples of this.

However, there has always been a few over the years that have slipped away or left Celtic too early for various reasons and suffered as a result of that.

Recently the development squad were at the centre of attention in the footballing world, after 13-year-old Karamoko Dembele came on for the Under 20’s against Hearts and videos on YouTube of the youngster in action went viral.

While it’s great to see him demonstrating his silky skills, it does have people worrying a bigger club could snap him up. Unfortunately, it has happened in the past and will likely continue in the future, and agents only make matters worse for young players.
