Brendan Rodgers has revealed why Tom Rogic, Mikael Lustig and Nir Bitton didn’t feature for Celtic in their 2-0 win today.
Goals from Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele maintained Celtic’s unbeaten start to the domestic season ahead of Wednesday Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Speaking after the game as quoted by Celtic’s official Twitter account, Rodgers said:
I had to leave Tom Rogic out totally as he’s been to Saudi Arabia and then Melbourne and was only back in Glasgow on Thursday.
(Lustig and Bitton) should train tomorrow with the team, maybe a push too far today and will hopefully be ready for Wednesday.
The Aussie playmaker had travelled over 20,000 miles during the international break, where as Lustig picked up a knee injury for Sweden.
Bitton also picked up a knock playing for Israel and none of them featured in Celtic’s squad ahead of a crucial month at the club.
Wednesday will see them welcome German side Monchengladbach before the League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park and back-to-back away trips to Ross County and Aberdeen.
All three players are expected to return tomorrow and will be carefully monitored next week.
Celtic’s opponents on Wednesday night at Paradise drew 0-0 with Hamburg at home and have lost both games in Group C so far against Manchester City and Barcelona.
