An early second half goal from Scott Sinclair for the champions was cancelled out as a make-shift Celtic side battled to a 1-1 draw.
The hosts dominated proceedings in the first half without creating any clear cut chances.
Four minutes into the second half Sinclair scored his 22nd goal of the season with a right footed finish into the bottom corner.
Patrick Roberts was again involved as he cut inside before playing an inch perfect pass meaning he has now assisted Sinclair’s last three goals from open play.
Partick Thistle equalised on 64 minutes with a quick move down the wing that was turned in by Ade Azeez moments after Emilio Izaguirre was subbed off.
Less than a minute after the restart, Celtic were awarded a penalty after some brilliant build up play from Callum McGregor to play in Cristian who was fouled inside the box.
Sinclair stepped up but was denied by a brilliant save from Tomas Cerny.
Tom Rogic made his long awaited return and played 28 minutes after coming off the bench for Eboue Kouassi who made his first start in the Hoops tonight.
Here are our player ratings from the game.
Craig Gordon 6/10
Had little to do all game. Couldn’t do much about Thistle’s goal from close range.
Mikael Lustig 6.5/10
Slotted in beside Sviatchenko and Simunovic in a back three. Looked jaded at times but managed to get involved frequently.
Erik Sviatchenko 5/10
Came back into the side though looked shaky. Will hope to gain some form back as the semi-final approaches.
Jozo Simunovic 6.5/10
Was composed on the ball and provided the wing-backs with opportunities to get forward.
Cristian Gamboa 7/10
Used his pace to get down the wing when attacking. Pressed Thistle on numerous occasions and got stuck in.
Emilio Izaguirre 6.5/10
Impressed going forward. Got the ball into the box on several occasions. Did well on what was a rare start.
Eboue Kouassi 6.5/10
Made his first start since his move in January to the club and looked comfortable in midfield alongside Bitton.
Nir Bitton 4.5/10
An underwhelming performance. Slowed played down unnecessarily and never fully got going.
Callum McGregor 6/10
Went under the radar again but attempted to break down play in the middle. Was subbed off for striker Jack Aitchison 12 minutes from time.
Scott Sinclair 7/10
Netted his fourth goal in two games after slotting home from a difficult angle. Looked lively throughout though missed a penalty in the second half.
Patrick Roberts 7/10
Made a good pass through to Sinclair to open the scoring. Provided good service out wide and showcased his skill once again.
Tom Rogic 6.5/10
Made his first appearance since before Christmas after replacing Kouassi. Got the ball moving and boosted attacking options but couldn’t make a significant difference.
Stuart Armstrong 6/10
Came on for Izaguirre with 28 minutes remaining in the game. Relatively quiet and could’ve had more of an impact.
Jack Aitchison N/A
Came on for McGregor with 12 minutes left in the game to try and snatch a winning goal.
