Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is a major doubt for tomorrow’s trip to Hibernian after picking up a knock last Sunday.
The 24-year-old put in a phenomenal performance in the 3-0 win at Aberdeen to reach the Scottish Cup Final but was hurt late on in the clash at Hampden.
It’s bad news for Neil Lennon and comes during a period where both Dedryck Boyata and Jack Hendry are sidelined with torn hamstrings.
Emergency defender Nir Bitton is also out which leaves Lennon short on options at the back with the finish line in this season’s title race edging closer.
The Hoops need just four points to confirm the capture of an eighth successive Scottish Premiership title, but a win would be enough if Rangers drop points at Hearts today.
Lennon will be hoping to get Simunovic back into the picture before the season finishes and that his absence doesn’t cause Celtic too many problems this weekend.
Who can replace Jozo Simunovic on Sunday?
He’s the only natural centre-half that could come in and, for that reason, it seems like he’s the most likely replacement.
Lustig could come more centrally alongside Ajer with Toljan starting at right-back.
Toljan could also fill in for Tierney at left-back if the young Scot is chosen to partner Ajer in the middle.
It’s a long shot, but if Lennon is desperate Brown could become an impromptu centre-back for the weekend, with Rogic coming into midfield.
