Hull City declare interest in Celtic youngster Ciaran Diver

Hull City have enquired about the availability of Celtic striker Ciaran Diver this summer, according to a report in the Hull Daily Mail.

The report, which cites a story on Football Insider, says Hull have made contact with the Hoops as they look to set the wheels in motion on a deal for the 19-year-old.

Diver is yet to make an appearance for the Celtic first-team and looks set to depart this summer with no opportunities seemingly forthcoming.

That has sparked interest from Hull, with their manager Grant McCann said to be looking for a young striker to add to his squad for the upcoming 2019/20 campaign.

The attacker spent the first half of last season on loan with Scottish League One side Stranraer but failed to score a goal, before moving to Edinburgh City in January, where he managed to net once in ten appearances.

It is now likely that Diver will be leaving Celtic Park on a permanent basis, with the report stating that Hull are just one of the clubs south of the border showing an interest.
