Nir Bitton has revealed that he would love to extend his contract with Celtic despite January interest in him.
The 28-year-old’s current deal is set to expire next summer, and recent reports have suggested the likes of Burnley are keen on a £1million move for him in the winter window.
However according to the Daily Record, Bitton has revealed he and his family are “settled” in Glasgow, and he is therefore keen to extend his deal with Celtic.
It’s something you need to ask Peter Lawwell instead of me. But I love this club and I want to stay. I am settled here, my kids live here, so we will see.

Bitton revealing he’d like to stay at Celtic will come as a positive to the club, given how useful a player he is.
Having players of Bitton’s ilk in the squad is hugely important for the Hoops, especially during a busy run of fixtures.
The 28-year-old is incredibly versatile and, despite his injury problems, gives Neil Lennon a number of different options either in defence or midfield.
