Former Celtic man Jackie McNamara has revealed that he thinks Neil Lennon would be mad to drop full-back Greg Taylor for the Hoops clash against Hamilton, whilst speaking to Football Insider.
Taylor impressed a lot of Celtic fans in the Hoops win over St Johnstone in midweek, making his first appearance in over eight games in the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking to Football Insider, the McNamara revealed that he believes that Taylor has to start against Hamilton after taking his chance brilliantly midweek.
I don’t see why he’d take him out the team, he’s doing well.
It’s like anything else, if he gets his opportunity and starts at the weekend, he’s set the standard and he keeps that standard. He’s been given the chance and he’s done well.
With Hayes and Boli he’s had to be patient but that’s what happens at big clubs. There’s competition for players, new players come in and they have to wait for their chance. I think he’s done well, Wednesday night was probably his best performance going forward.
His deliveries were excellent, not just for Griffiths’ goal but his crossing and his movement in behind, that made an impact on his game.
REad Celtic’s verdict
Taylor has found game-time at a premium since moving to the Hoops, but really impressed a lot of Celtic fans in midweek.
Many fans called for him to be given a run in the side after his performance against St Johnstone.

Maybe Neil Lennon should take note of the Celtic fans reactions to his game and hand him another start, maybe handing him a chance to make the left-back position his own.
