Many Celtic fans believe that current defender Christopher Jullien will beat Virgil van Dijk’s single-season scoring record.
The Dutchman netted ten goals from centre-back in the 2014/15 season, when he scored four times in the Scottish Premiership, four times in the SFA Cup and twice in UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds (Transfermarkt).
26-year-old Jullien has managed to get his name on the scoresheet for the Hoops seven times this season, four times in the league, once in the UEFA Europa League, once in the League Cup and once in Europa League qualifying.
As reported on BBC Sport, the Frenchman joined Neil Lennon’s side last summer from Ligue 1 side Toulouse for around £7m.
He signed a four-year deal and has cemented a starting spot at the club after some impressive displays since his arrival.
Many fans on Twitter believe that Jullien will now surpass Van Dijk’s record of ten goals for the Hoops in a single season.
