Ally McCoist falls for Celtic related April Fools joke
Ally McCoist fell victim to a brilliant April Fool’s prank live on air on talkSPORT’s Breakfast show on Wednesday morning (01/04/2020), according to the Daily Record.
The pundit was featuring on the show from his home whilst Laura Woods and Darren Bent were in the studio, and the pair joked with McCoist that a report in Italy had claimed Zlatan Ibrahimovic was desperate to join Celtic this summer.
McCoist had no idea the report was made up and he spoke of how much of a boost it would be to Scottish football before Woods and Bent couldn’t keep the joke to themselves and informed McCoist of the prank.

I think I would’ve been in exactly the same boat as McCoist here, as I’d completely forgotten all about April Fool’s Day, and instead would’ve been getting ridiculously excited had I been on the receiving end of this fake report.
And I may not have been the only one, considering how a number of Celtic fans jokingly urged Ibra to move to Parkhead after his contract with LA Galaxy expired in 2019.
Unfortunately for us, the giant striker returned to AC Milan instead, so the search for another legendary Swedish striker at Celtic goes on.

This wasn’t the only Celtic themed April Fool’s prank going around either, with Twitter account @teesfortims uploading a rather nasty looking home kit as a supposed ‘leaked’ image of the Hoops’ home kit for next season.
