Vasilios Barkas is a Celtic player.
The signing of the star goalkeeper has not been officially been announced by the Scottish champions but a source has exclusively told Read Celtic that the 26-year-old has signed his contract with The Hoops and that the plan is for him to be presented to the media tomorrow.
The Greek star has, according to our source, signed a three-year-contact with Celtic but the Hoops will also have the option to add a fourth year onto that deal, which is a tactic they like to employ when signing new players.
Barkas was pictured in Glasgow on Wednesday after travelling to take his medical and it looks like everything has gone well on that front.
Celtic get their league campaign underway on Sunday when they face Hamilton and it will be interesting to see if Neil Lennon throws Barkas straight into the firing line or if he elects to start Scott Bain in that particular match.
