Celtic fans discuss update on Patrick Roberts
Former Celtic loanee Patrick Roberts is currently with Championship side Middlesbrough.
However, the 23-year-old might not be at the Riverside for much longer, and several Hoops fans are open to the idea of the winger returning to Parkhead in January.
Roberts, who was wanted by Celtic on a permanent basis back in April, is reportedly set for crunch talks with Boro boss Neil Warnock.
He’s featured in just 256 minutes of second-tier action under Warnock from the club’s 15 league games so far. [Transfermarkt]
Roberts made 78 appearances for Celtic across a two-season loan spell between 2016-2018, scoring 18 goals and providing 26 assists. [Transfermarkt]
@celtic_now asked their followers whether or not the Roberts ship has sailed or if they would like the club to sign him shortly after the update emerged on Wednesday.
The post received plenty of interaction, with these fans keen on the idea of Roberts heading north in the New Year.
