Diego Laxalt has reportedly made a summer move to Celtic his ‘priority’, and, as to be expected, the news has got plenty of Hoops fans talking online.
According to the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio, Laxalt has rejected a lucrative move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
The Uruguayan, who has made 16 appearances in green and white this season, is thought to have turned down a deal worth ‘almost’ €3m a season.
Reports prior to this latest update suggested that the Hoops were ‘considering’ a permanent move for the South American, with Milan looking for €8m (£7.2m) to part ways with the 27-year-old.
It didn’t take long for the news to make its way onto social media, with many Hoops fans both for and against the idea of Laxalt making his loan move in Glasgow permanent.
One fan described the player as a ‘brilliant defender’, whereas another supporter claimed Laxalt is ‘limited’ in his attributes.
