Celtic are looking to bring Sheffield Wednesday youngster Liam Shaw to Parkhead in a pre-contract agreement.
The Hoops were first linked with the teenager during the January transfer window, with reports from Football Insider claiming that personal terms had been agreed.
That story suggested that a deal wasn’t finalised and pen wasn’t put to paper, and Football Insider have now provided a further update on Shaw’s situation. They claim that Celtic remain in pursuit of the versatile ace, with his future still up in the air.
Sheffield Wednesday are still trying to secure him to a new contract, but should Celtic win the race for his services, they would have to pay a fee in the region of £300,000.

Celtic missed out on Ben Davies last month after failing to secure a pre-contract agreement during the whole of January, with the defender joining Liverpool from Preston on transfer deadline day.
Hopefully, the Hoops have learned from their recent mistakes and will quickly push through a deal for Shaw following this latest development.
The 19-year-old has played in midfield and as a centre-back this season in the Championship, so he could well turn out to be a shrewd replacement for Nir Bitton, who has been linked with a summer move to Maccabi Tel Aviv in recent days.
