Plenty of Celtic fans have been giving their thoughts to a report on the club’s head of football operations Nick Hammond and recruitment chief Gary Penrice.

According to Football Insider, cited by 67HailHail, the pair are set to leave the club at the end of the season as part of a huge Hoops overhaul both on and off the pitch.

A Celtic source told Football Insider that Hammond’s position is under “major threat”, while Penrice’s role is “hanging by a thread”.

Penrice was appointed as the club’s head of recruitment back in April, however, several of the club’s summer signings haven’t made the impact desired.

The likes of Albian Ajeti, Shane Duffy and Vasilis Barkas have all struggled at Parkhead, and it seems as if the club’s woeful campaign will be costly for some ahead of the 2021/22 season.

67HailHail‘s report made its way onto the Celtic News Now Facebook page on Monday evening. The post received plenty of interaction, with these Hoops supporters buzzing at the news, with one describing it as ‘brilliant’.

Alex Giannandrea: Best news from Celtic for a long time. Brilliant

Tommy Elliott: Best news ever pair of clowns

John Humphrey: Hope this is true

Mark Henry: Hallelujah

Andrew Cameron: Best news in years.

How many signings do Celtic need this summer?

Gary Moore: Get them all out.

Tommy Jordan: God help the next club!
