The Hoops have uploaded a few of these videos to the club’s Twitter account recently, one recently featured Kyogo, but on this occasion it is the 17 goals scored by the Greek striker in season 2021/22 that feature on the upload.

Giakoumakis enjoyed an excellent first season at the Hoops. After a slow start, he burst into life in 2022, scoring plenty of goals and ending up as joint leading scorer in the Scottish Premiership, which few would have expected after his difficult first-half of the season.
READ CELTIC VERDICT:
There are a couple of notable things in the 60 second upload. The first is the number of important goals that the striker scored for the Hoops last season.
The late winner against Dundee, and the goal that clinched the league title against Dundee United both stick out as key to the Hoops, and there is a real chance that Celtic wouldn’t have become champions if not for the striker’s contribution in the second-half of the season.
The other notable aspect of the upload is the type of goals that the forward scores for the Hoops. He is the definition of a poacher, scoring goals from inside the penalty box.
Every goal he has scored for the Hoops have been scored from inside the penalty box, with a good few coming from inside the six yard box too. That is exactly what you want a good striker to do.

Obviously there are different types of strikers at every club, Kyogo, for example, has scored various types of goals for the Hoops, but sometimes you need a player who is able to score goals from close range, and that is certainly what Giakoumakis can do.
If the ball drops to Giakoumakis in the penalty area, don’t be surprised to see it end up in the back of the net a few seconds later.
He might not start every game for Celtic, but in one season at the club Giakoumakis has proved that he is more than capable of finding the back of the net for the Bhoys on a regular basis, and don’t be surprised if he does the same next season for Celtic.
Given the right service this guy could be deadly next season – particularly in the Champions League.
