So, with the Euros almost upon us today, the transfer window is also open, and Celtic can now get down to the business of bringing in new recruits.
We’ve heard many rumours over the last couple of weeks since the season officially ended.
Today, I’m going to look at our possible targets, and discuss what they might bring to the table if they were to come to Celtic.
I’ll also look at players we’ve had on loan, and wish to make permanent signings.
Make no mistake, Celtic are about to enter a very important transfer window.
We are entering it with a burgeoning bank balance, with an extended Champions League campaign to come next season.
We cannot make the same kind of mistakes which were made in last summer’s window.
One thing is for sure though, based on the recent news surrounding the possible sale of Oh Hyeon-Gyu, it definitely seems like Brendan Rodgers will be calling the shots for Celtic in this transfer window.
As we know, a goal keeper is a must, and we have a few targets in mind.
There’s no doubting we need a striker, and a back up left back for Greg Taylor.
For a few seasons now, we’ve been talking about a midfield enforcer, maybe this window is the chance to finally find a player that fits that bill?
Let’s take a look at the current targets.
Benfica said earlier this week there is no truth in reports of a lower fee for Bernardo. it’s 7.5m Euros.
