The stories in the media regarding players moving to Celtic are getting old.
In addition to getting old, there doesn’t seem to be any other news regarding incoming transfers either.
Which would lead me to believe there is nobody coming in, any time soon.
The SMSM has clung to the Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Jakob Breum stories because in reality, they’ve nothing else to cling to.
But the simple fact is, that despite all the talk of Breum and Balikwisha coming to Celtic, neither player is any closer to a move to Parkhead.
Today in the Record, we’re being told that Celtic will not ‘budge’ on their £3 million offer for Jakob Breum.
This farce has been going on for weeks now, with Jan Willem van Dop of Go Ahead Eagles ridiculing the Celtic board for their lowball offers.

On top of that, he was telling our club that we should conduct our business like the Ibrox club.
Well, if we’re not budging on our £3 million offer, two things are very clear.
One, we’re not getting Jakob Breum.
Two, Dermot Desmond had probably told the board to dig their heels in, because he won’t be told how to conduct his transfer business by anyone.
GOA value Breum at £5 to £6 million.
Clearly, they’re not budging on their valuation either.
So, both clubs are now locked in a Mexican standoff.
With neither willing to budge for fear of losing face.
Either way, Breum will not be coming to Celtic until we at least get close to his valuation.
Michel-Ange Balikwisha, on the other hand, has apparently stated he would like to join Celtic.
But I guess that won’t happen unless we actually submit an offer.
He’s also valued at £5 million.
So, if Celtic do decide to make an offer, expect it to be around the £3 million mark.
As that’s all we seem to be capable of offering for anyone in this transfer window so far.
Apparently we’ve also declared interest in winger Calvin Stengs of Feyenoord, who once cost Nice £13 million.

Forget that one too if Feyenoord are looking for the dreaded £5 million mark.
Finally, we’re being told that Jamie Vardy is desperate for a reunion with Brendan Rodgers.
Can’t say I’m that desperate for that particular reunion.
Will any of these deals happen?
Well, with 13 days left in this window, the clock is ticking.
We don’t even seem too bothered about getting one or two players before Wednesday night.
If there were deals in the offing before the Champions League tie, then surely we’d have heard something by now?
All you bed wetters out there?
Get ready for a flurry of players coming in the door before the 31st!
It’ll all be sorted before the window shuts.
And Peter Lawwell will be retiring soon.
Yeah, right.
We know why Go Ahead Eagles want their asking price is because of the fuck up of the sell on clause with the players previous club. If Celtic do not value him at that price then that is that. Clubs do not just give the selling clubs what their asking price is and WELL you know it.
Conduct business as the Govan club conducts theirs, tells me you are not serious about this Blog. Continued references to the SMSM to support your rants confirms it.
Tic tock . Unbelievable shower of a board being directed by mr Desmond . The only way we are going to be rid of that lot is if we go through a few seasons like the Covid season . Even then they would still cling on cause their rats
