Charlie Adam – Michael Stewart he isn’t, but I think if you put him and Kris Boyd in a room together, then two villages would be deprived of their idiots.
So valued is Adam’s opinion, that he gets a full story in the Record today.
Which is a very good explanation as to why the Record’s readership continues to tank month after month.
Charlie Adam believes that the Ibrox side will get at least £20 million for their Belgian Superstar, Nicolas Raskin.
Because his performances since the departure of Russell Martin have caused his value to soar.
Now, I get that a lot of people in the SMSM are talking about an Ibrox title win.
It seems to have them all jizzing in their pants of late.
We just have to hope that they haven’t all jizzed prematurely.
Because I just need to figure something out here.
There’s a very good chance that the worst Celtic side since the early 1990’s could win the title this season.
Yes, the worst Celtic side in decades, assembled by the worst Celtic board since the club’s inception in 1888.
Now if the SMSM’s worst nightmare came to pass, and Celtic did win the title, does anybody imagine that Nicolas Raskin’s value would be £20 million?

He would have played in the Ibrox side that capitulated to the worst Celtic side in recent living memory.
I can’t imagine that would be of much benefit to his current valuation?
And I’m not sure that clubs would be lining up for his signature if he was associated with a calamitous, trophyless season for the Ibrox side.
Genius Adam thinks that he’ll stay if they win it, but he’ll piss off if they don’t.
And the Ibrox side will land £20 million, which will be a great boost and will help make up for them missing out on the those ‘Champions Leagues Monies’, as a famous Dane once referred to them as.
So, its all good.
Adam says the Ibrox club are to enter in a “big bid-nith decision”, you know?
What with him being in the know and all.
Here’s his genius insight on Raskin:
It had been at a very low price (at the start of the season) in terms of his performances and what was going on with the previous manager.
But Danny Rohl has managed to get him back, tuned in. For me, he’s a top midfielder, can play off both feet.
I like to see him higher up, he can create, but also he’s good at coming in and linking the play and playing as a number six.
That’ll be a big business decision if R*****s want to sell him. If they make the Champions League, it’ll be easier to keep him.
But if he goes to the World Cup with Belgium and does really well, then they have to probably maximise the price that they might be able to get for him.
Who said he’s going to the World Cup?
More to the point, who actually thinks he’ll be going to the World Cup if he’s part of a trophyless season for the Ibrox side?
I guess that just remains to be seen.
But Charlie Adam thinks that Raskin will be going to the World Cup after winning the title with the Ibrox side, and then he’ll be playing in the Champions League, which will all make him worth £20 million.
At low water.
You talk about values and that, you’ll be looking at north of £20million for somebody like that if he competes at the World Cup and he plays a couple of games.
If they’re going to win the league and they qualify for the Champions League, it adds value as well.
So it could be a big price for Rangers to do and that’s a big decision they have to make as a business as well.
Yes…values and that.
Big bid-nith decisions and stuff.
Funnily enough, I know of another Belgian midfielder playing in Scotland who already has a value placed on him, and it isn’t fantasy either.

Arne Engels was the subject of a £25 million bid last January.
Celtic turned it down.
Now Engels is the subject of interest from Serie A side, Lazio.
He is – without doubt – Celtic’s most saleable asset.
A player who we all said on the Trinity Tims podcast would end up being Celtic’s next record transfer.
People laughed at us then, but nobody is laughing now.
So, I’ll put it this way, if Celtic win the League this season, which player do you think will be sold for north of £20 million.
The one Charlie Adam values at £20 million?
Or the one that has already had a bid tabled for well north of £20 million.
I know who I’d be putting my money on.
But hey, what do I know?
