Two players Celtic need to proactively look to replace and fast.
So Kasper retires, a shoulder injury requiring multiple surgeries at 39 proving a step too far.
Good luck to him.
My concern is – in the words of of the 70’s Group “Ace” – How Long Has This Been Going On??
Is it the reason why his form fell off a cliff, particularly this season just past?
Either way Sinisalo needs strong competition recruited.

Sarrachi, is a blow, if stories circulating are true that he has departed back to Boca without an offer from Celtic.
A terrific squad player to have.
When KT was tiring, he was an injection of va va voom that the left side required.
Tenacious, aggressive in his style and most importantly – brave on the ball.
He will be sadly missed – and again would 100% need replacing.
The player trading model, with re-sell value at the heart of every single deal doesn’t work.
Balance is key, on occasion you need players for the here and now.
I worry Sarrachi would only be overlooked due to lack of re-sell potential.
Expect further departures, with speculation rife.

Arnie Engels, Reo Hatate, Paolo Bernardo and of course our Maverick talisman Daizen Maeda are all tipped to say their goodbyes as well.
Between those four players there could be a windfall of £50m brought in.
But full scale surgery on this Celtic side with a view to it being BETTER than the squad that finished 25/26 Season won’t come cheap.
There has to be an acceptance that the purse strings have to be loosened.
Celtic’s Board for all their failings have had no problem selling players for maximum value and if we can get that for the aforementioned 4 then it all has to be reinvested.
We need a view from the Sporting Director / Head of Football Opeartions / Diretor of Football whatever you want to call it, that aligns with whoever we appoint as our permanent manager.
The Board then must back their appointments.
Leave the football guys to make the football decisions.
Trust in your judgements you made and then support their footballing decisions to the best of your ability.
The meddling and penny pinching simply has to stop.
We nearly came up short of the usual Domestic Bliss we are accustomed to this season due to this.
As for European involvement, surely this last chance saloon offer of securing Champions League money warrants proper investment and expenditure to.
Don’t replace with cheap punts.
Replace with like for like or even better. It’s your job, get on with it.
The thing is, this Board should be masters of the scenario we face this Summer.
They laud their player trading model, and domestic dominance.
Yet continually come up short Summer after Summer – especially when those pesky qualifiers are involved.
The free passes we have had to Champions League football over the last two decades should mean our co-efficient is miles ahead of where they’ve got it to.
They have failed massively in that department, I don’t care what anyone says.
How many clubs went into their Champions League qualifiers having spent as little as Celtic did last year?
How many clubs went into their Champions League qualifiers having spent as low a % of their cash reserves as Celtic did?
I doubt many – if any.
I fear we will see more links with further player exits than we will welcome’s over the next couple of weeks so brace yourselves.
Can this be sorted? Course it can.
Will they? I doubt it.
I’ll be live on The Bhoycie Bus tonight and tomorrow evening discussing this in further detail.
Keep Your Eyes On The Board.
We have this same sort of conversation year after year, this board absolutely REFUSE to spend money no matter how threadbare our squad is.
I dont believe there are some that think we will break our transfer record.
Season finished 5 days ago and what have we heard about ins or new board members? Nothing, nada, zilch, I take it the ST uptake has been good so they return to being a law unto themselves and think most fans are happy.
FCKN UNBELIEVEABLE.
I’m all for an ‘exodus ‘ of players but they need to be replaced too …that’s obvious ! But the only true way to do that is for a permanent head coach to be signed up along first with his background staff in tow as well as a priority . Only then can the arrival of new players happen after a coordinated effort by the new manager and the people from the board who are qualified and capable of doing so . The manager has to have his choice of players in the door . Otherwise the omnishambles of last season continues on ..and on ..and on with more turmoil . Will someone please stand up and be counted by doing your job properly and efficiently ? Did nobody at board level learn anything from big Ange’s time at the club as far as early recruitment is concerned ?
