Well, well, well.
Keevins is up to usual shit stirring tricks again.
In his usual Sunday morning drivel in the Record, he is trying to convince us that Celtic needs Peter Lawwell to fix everything that’s gone wrong at the club.
Yes, you read that correctly.
You’re not imagining things.
Keevins is trying to convince us that the reason Celtic is gone to pot is because Peter Lawwell left the club last year.
Not only is he trying to convince us of that, but he’s also trying to tell us that it’s all our fault.
Yes, he couldn’t help landing a dig once again about Lawwell being ‘driven out’ of the club by us pesky fans.
Effectively, what Keevins is trying to say is that Celtic is in the state it’s in because of the fans.
And that we should never have put those hurty stickers on lamp posts in Pete’s neighbourhood.
If we’d just left well enough alone, Celtic would be absolutely fine today, with Peter Lawwell keeping a steady hand on the tiller.

Jesus wept.
Is this really what we’ve been reduced to?
As if things weren’t bad enough, we now need to be convinced that the only reason Celtic is in a mess is because Peter Lawwell is gone?
This opening part of Keevins article has to be read to be believed:
I wonder if those who made Peter Lawwell ’s private life a personal hell are now seeing the error of their ways.
The former Celtic chairman left the club in January because he could no longer tolerate the strain on his family,
‌But the one thing which could never have been said while trophy-laden Peter was in charge at Celtic Park was that the club were rudderless.
‌Have a look at them now.
A personal hell??
The error of our ways??
Is this guy for real??
Seriously?
Peter Lawwell was one of the most divisive figures ever to have sat in the Celtic boardroom.
When he announced his departure from the club last December, most Celtic fans celebrated it, and hoped it would cause a domino effect in the boardroom.
The fact that it hasn’t is a big part of the reason we find ourselves where we are right now.
The only reason Michael Nicholson is the CEO of Celtic is because of Peter Lawwell.
Silent Mike was groomed for the role by Lawwell.
And even though we were led to believe Peter Lawwell had departed the club back in late 2021, we all know now that he was ‘working from home’ before his return as Chairman in January of 2023.
The reason Celtic is in the mess it’s in is because of Peter Lawwell.
It is actually hilarious that Keevins is trying to convince us that he’s the man who would be capable of sorting the current mess out.
Keevins then goes on to talk about Celtic ‘lowballing’ it’s staff as well as other clubs when it comes to negotiating transfers.
Oblivious to the fact that the creator and master of the ‘lowball’ at Celtic was none other than Peter Lawwell.
John McGinn anyone?
Haggling with Hibs and Rod Petrie over a couple of hundred grand?
Then Aston Villa come in and give the asking price and steal him from right under our nose?
Look at McGinn now.
The Aston Villa captain, and will probably go down in history as one of their best midfielders.
Fresh off the back of winning the Europa League last season.
Mentioning Peter Lawwell and the word ‘lowball’ in the same article without connecting one to the other shows a chronic lack of self-awareness from Keevins.
It seems that Lawwell taught Silent Mike the art of the lowball.
But it seems that Nicholson took it to a completely new level.
Or if we were just to put it more simply, he hasn’t got a clue how to lowball without Lawwell holding his hand.

He knows the first part.
It’s the parts that follow after the lowball that he just can’t seem to quite grasp.
In the end, Keevins thinly veiled attack at the Celtic support is just a re-hash of everything fan media has been writing all week.
Mention lowballing your coaching staff – check.
Then mention lowballing Boca Juniors for Marcelo Saracchi – check.
And finally make sure to mention what R*****s, Hearts and Motherwell are doing – check.
Because nobody had written about any of this before yesterday, had they?
All Keevins has done is write the exact story fan media has run with all week, and then come up with Peter Lawwell as the solution to all of our woes.
Along with blaming the Celtic support and their hurty stickers for driving him out.
That just about sums Keevins up.
He does not have an original thought in his head.
He is the epitome of somebody who is stealing a wage.
You genuinely could not make this shit up.
If Keevins thinks Lawwell is the solution to our woes, then we’re very close to rock bottom.
I’ll go one better and provide Keevins with the solution to all of Celtic’s problems.
It’s very simple really.
Sack the board!

Read it yesterday . Kevin’s and Lawell were pretty cosy in latter years and I’m thinking is this us getting softened up for a return .You wouldn’t put it past Celtic to do the unthinkable .The only way they are going to listen is withhold your money
This is the ruthless Desmond and his malignant cabal of corporate greed and austerity fc, nothing will change unless the fans change .stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
Just waiting for Keevins to tip the huns for the title and start arse licking their new manager
Then backtrack like a motherfucker when it goes tits up
Like he always does
Laweĺl put him and Rod Petries pissing contest above the needs of Celtic fc,and then when Aston Villa stole in Lawell in a blind panic called Jack Mcginn ex celtic chairman and John’s grandad to see if he could “have a word with the lad”only to be told “John’s 23 and his own man now”.For that alone Lawell should have walked right there.
If anyone wants to know what Peter Lawwell thinks about Celtic, you only have to look at his behaviour at the end of the 2024 Scottish Cup Final. While every Tim on the planet was celebrating doing the Huns, Pete The Cheat looked as miserable as sin, as the cameras panned in on the dear seats. Obviously his team had been well studded that day.
Hail Hail.
