  1. I would keep Tounekti in the squad, unless he’s pushing for a promise of regular starts. A loan to a decent club would be great, but he’s hardly provided much to guarantee starts at a strong club – so that leaves the not so decent clubs. Is that worth it? He can learn from the newer signings, bide his time, league cup games perhaps? Put it this way, with Hogh on the pitch, we’d probably see Tounekti’s assists bump up, bring a bit of confidence for the lad and proper development. He brings a bit of depth and option to rotate despite how rough around the edges he may still be. But if he’s pushing for a loan, then fair enough. I just don’t see how the odd goal and a few assists at a weaker team cements any starting place at Celtic the following season. If he’s not in the plans this season, then just attempt a sale and move on.

  2. Call me old fashioned but I thought it was the role of the coaches and manager to improve and develop players, not send them out on loan for other clubs to do it. If he isn’t good enough after coaching, sell him
