Every cloud has a silver lining, or so the saying goes.
Not much is going to numb the pain from last Tuesday night’s shambles in Linz, but to be fair to the Ibrox side, they did provide us with some comic relief last night.
It’s highly amusing that they spent the whole of Tuesday evening, and all day Wednesday slagging us, while completely oblivious to the fact that their own European participation was far from secured.
The irony in the end was that they exited European football to what they called a ‘diddy pub team’.
Well, funnily enough, that ‘diddy pub team’ had enough about them to win on the night.
They managed 54% possession and created 16 goal chances.
Not bad for a ‘diddy pub team’.
At least we have European football to look forward to.
And while that might be scant consolation after Tuesday’s capitulation, it still nice to see that Karma will always get the klanbase in the end.

Well, they beat you, and they did it comfortably too.
And before anyone says it, I know we should be beating the likes of LASK.
Especially when Hearts could manage to get past a side from the same division the following night.
There is no amount of spin can change what a disaster last Tuesday night was for us.
But compare and contrast that to the Ibrox side.
They have no European finance at all to bank on for the season ahead.
They have spent nearly £30 million on what 12 players and counting, and they cannot even rely on revenue from Europe to offset against it.
