Player ratings: Celtic 2-1 Hamilton (A)

An early error from Dedryck Boyata didn’t prove costly as the Belgian redeemed himself for his error and Leigh Griffiths added a second in the first-half as Celtic edged out Hamilton.

The Accies took the lead through Gramoz Kurtaj who spun Dedryck Boyata and fire a powerful shot past Craig Gordon into the bottom corner.

Celtic struggled to create any clear-cut chances and got their equaliser from Griffiths’ free-kick who found Boyata at the back post. The Belgian atoned from his earlier error to bring Celtic back into the game.

Griffiths leaped up to meet Saidy Janko’s cross and head home to give Celtic the lead in the game.

Both teams had chances in the second-half, but it remained as it was at half-time with Celtic now one point off Aberdeen at the top of the table.
