Yesterday, I commented on the fact that the Ibrox side have 6 signings in the door, while at Celtic, there was just one solitary signing.
Well, as of today, you can make that two.
Celtic have just signed Christophe Duchamp.
But it’s not the type of signing that will benefit the footballing operation.
Nope.
It’s a partnership with a Swiss luxury watch brand.
And they’ve been named the Official Timepiece Supplier of Celtic FC.
Wow, just WOW!!
Isn’t this amazing?
There’s a squad rebuild required at Celtic, and the club is busy signing partnership deals with a luxury Swiss watch brand.
I shit you not.
While we’re anxiously waiting for another signing to arrive at the club – and clinging on to any news coming out of the club – this is the latest announcement we’re treated to?
Is this some kind of joke?
The people running Celtic really do fail to read the room, don’t they?
⌚️ We are proud to announce a new official partnership with Christophe Duchamp, the Swiss luxury watch brand, naming them as the Official Timepiece Supplier of Celtic Football Club.

You can pick up one of these luxury time-pieces for the princely sum of £299.
This watch is a limited edition.
And get this, only 1,967 of them will be made.
Imagine that?
Celtic expect to make £588,133 out of the sale of all these wonderful collectors items.

Indeed.
In the middle of the biggest rebuild of the 21st century at Celtic Park, our ingenious board expects you to part with £299 of your hard earned cash for one of these watches.
Meanwhile, they drag ass on the most important thing right now.
Signing players, and rebuilding our decimated squad.
Honestly, anybody who goes out and hands over £299 for one of these watches needs their head checked.
In the midst of the Not Another Penny campaign, our out of touch board believes people will actually line up to buy this product.
You genuinely could not make this up.
The watch is going to be available in December, just in time for Christmas.
At this moment in time, and considering the sorry state of our squad – if we don’t get the necessary recruitment done – one wonders what position we’ll actually be in come next Decemeber?
No doubt, you’ll still get happy clappers with more money than sense lining up to buy this product.
But I doubt somehow that it will sell out.
This announcement on the official club website really sums up where we’re currently at.
When fan groups are crying out for communication from the club, this is what we get??
Yesterday the fan group, Celtic Supporters Limited, announced that they had sent a letter to the board requesting a meeting with them to discuss their 64 page Paradox document.
On the 9th June 2026 we wrote an open letter to the board of @CelticFC Plc.
— Celtic Supporters Ltd (@celticCSL) July 11, 2026
We asked for one thing: a meeting. Us, or a delegation of the board, to sit down and discuss The Celtic Paradox, our review of the club built entirely on Celtic's own audited accounts, ahead of the AGM.… pic.twitter.com/FUu7usE5u7
On the 9th of June CLS sent a letter to Chairman Brian Wilson.
This letter briefly outlined the purpose of the Paradox and requesting a meeting.
A month on they haven’t even received an acknowledgment from the club.
The board will not engage or communicate with shareholders of the club.
Yet they’ll happily announce the news of partnership deal with a Swiss Luxury watch company.
This really shows us where their priorities lie.
One signing since the window opened.
No discernible strategy or plan outlined.
Completely ignoring the legitimate concerns of shareholders.
But hey, you can buy a Limited edition Celtic Swiss watch for £299.
Only TIME WILL TELL if this partnership is a success for Celtic.
Jesus wept.

The board will be back slapping each other after a successful ST renewal. Many, many more millions into the account, DD will assure them our passion and love for Celtic will guarantee the money keeps coming in no matter how much we protest. Our defence for our actions is that celtic is part of our being, the problem is that they know this too well and exploit it. Horrible catch 22 situation.
Those luxurious ‘Swiss Movement ‘ kettles get punted on an english very low grade TV shopping channel where they ‘retail ‘ for around £1700 sovs yet this show punts them for around £399 . Now go figure that one out … especially when prestige and quality and craftsmanship and ‘hand assembled ‘ are the words being used when they are all endeavoured to be sold to the public by Bengal Lancer ‘Del Boy Trotter ‘ type salesmen on camera ! The same low grade TV shopping channel which went bust not that long ago but are now another tribute act company still selling ultra cheap merchandise ! So don’t get too excited about this latest Celtic business ‘partnership ! ‘ If the deal was with Tag Heuer..or Longines ..or Breitling ,,or Grand Seiko or Omega kettles of the finest qualities ..then I would be very impressed ? But ….. Christophe Duchamp !
The odious Desmond and his malignant cabal of corporate greed and austerity fc have all the Time they need or want the season ticket holders gave them carte blanch to do what they want , which is fill their boots with our money , just watch when at required TIME they throw Martin O’Neil under the bus, stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
Just WATCH is that a pun or a hun dont buy any merch or go to friendlies I’m obviously not speaking for the board apologists
The watch is to check how many days left in-this window, everyone coming on different sites about don’t give them your money what a load of pish this has been said for years and it never hurts them also all the talk about this one’s coming that one’s coming another load of pish we will start this season the usual way getting second hand freebie dross as what’s happened in more or less every window poor MON flung under the bus by his countryman’s lackies.
I take it that the movement on the watch goes anti-clockwise…just like the Celtic PLC board.
Hail Hail.
