Any time the Celtic media team puts up an X post these days, the fans pile on to ridicule the board.
It’s open season every time.
Today’s post is no different.
The price of £20 for a ticket for a friendly has gone down like a fart in a spacesuit.
Some of the responses on the X post are brilliant.
Have a look and see for yourself:

It’s clear that the fans are starting to get heartily sick of the Celtic board’s behaviour.

There are constant communications when it comes to extracting money from the fanbase.
But radio silence when it comes to a strategy of any description, or the possibility of signing a player.
Yesterday’s comments from the manager only served to further antagonise the support.
No reassurances were given whatsoever about the rebuild that’s required.
We were only treated to platitudes of ‘resignation’ when it comes to losing players.
I honestly find it hard to fathom why Martin O’Neill is tolerating all of this.
But judging the Celtic boss’s demeanour yesterday, he seems strangely relaxed about everything.
Either he’s fully aware of the player recruitment plans that are going on behind the scenes, or he’s hiding his irritation very well at the lack thereof.
Either way, you can always rest assured that the board will be on point when it comes to communication relating to extraction of money from a fan base they seem to love bleeding dry.
£20 for a friendly pre-season game is pretty steep if you ask me.
And judging by our performance against Shelbourne last week, we’ll clearly struggle against a side like Middlesbrough with the squad we have available to us.
If the fans ever wanted to show their disdain at the board’s behaviour, then this is the perfect opportunity.
The decision not to part with £20 should be an easy one.
The more the board does nothing but contribute to the continued decline of our club, the less we should cooperate with their demands for our money.
They behave like this because the season ticket books sold out.
Therefore they think fans will continue to be an easy mark when it comes to the extraction of money.
If they do not provide the manager with what he needs for a successful campaign next season, then they will find there is a limit to fan patience.
In addition to that, I’m sure they’ll find there’s a limit to the manager’s patience, and that there’s a limit to the captain’s patience.
But they’ll keep on pushing until that breaking point comes.
It’s going to come very quickly if they don’t start getting players in, and the only transfers we witness are outward bound.
The patience clock is ticking.
When it runs out….
Boom!!
Key Takeaways
- Fans express frustration over Celtic board’s ticket pricing and lack of communication regarding player signings.
- The manager’s comments have not reassured fans about the club’s direction or rebuilding strategy.
- The board capitalises on fan loyalty, ignoring their dissatisfaction and the need for squad improvements.
- If the club fails to sign players, both fan and managerial patience will run out quickly.
- The situation risks escalating if the board continues to disregard fan concerns and expectations.

Pre-season friendly, I couldn’t give less of a toss….utterly meaningless, training matches
If we approach this transfer window as we have recent windows, then they can close the place down. NOT acceptable, to be showing massive profits in transfer dealings, re-invest or concede any pretence at challenging.
We need to accept that our club has zero ambition to go forward and there is not much we can do about it. We are obviously working to make the league more competitive by managed decline
The odious Desmond and his malignant cabal of corporate greed and austerity fc are behaving as if they are a club in financial distress, this question has to be asked when the most wealthy club in Scotland spends zilch in squad investment then that’s a legitimate concern, just wait when Maeda and Engels get sold and nothing has been prepared then I think the answer to the question is a resounding Club in free fall. What should we do . Stop giving them your money or you are complicit in the destruction of our club
Managed decline fc
