A frustrating goalless draw for Celtic against Dundee saw Brendan Rodgers’ side extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points.
Celtic started the game brightly after some brilliant play from Moussa Dembele nutmegging one defender before feeding James Forrest.
The winger played a perfectly timed pass into the striker’s path, but the Frenchman’s shot on goal was well-saved.
On 25 minutes Forrest broke down the right wing going past two players and shot at the near post, but again Elliot Parish denied the Hoops from opening the scoring.
Scott Sinclair has come back into the team of late and also had a chance to score the opening goal but couldn’t redirect the ball with his head from close range.
On the hour mark Tom Rogic came close after some wonderful footwork inside the box to get away from two players in a tight space but could only find the side netting with his shot.
With one game to go before the split, Celtic are 10 points clear of Aberdeen in second ahead of Sunday’s trip to Hamilton.
Here are our player ratings from tonight’s game.
Craig Gordon 6.5/10
Decent save to keep Murray at bay in his 200th appearance for the club. Rarely troubled otherwise and was a spectator in the second half.
Mikael Lustig 5/10
Wasteful with the ball in good crossing positions and not assured defensively.
Dedryck Boyata 6.5/10
Untroubled in defence and made a superb last-ditch challenge to deny Deacon which came off Celtic’s post.
Jack Hendry 6/10
Not much to do defensively in the opening 45 minutes against his former club. Few shaky moments in the second half. Had a late chance to win the game but headed just wide.
Callum McGregor 7.5/10
Played a makeshift role at left-back and put in a solid shift intercepting play and defending well. Supported Sinclair well down the left flank.
Scott Brown 6.5/10
Controlled the midfield winning possession and second balls.
Stuart Armstrong 6/10
Half chance at the start of the second half from McGregor’s cross but fired his shot wide. Good delivery from set pieces.
Tom Rogic 7/10
Lacked in creativity in the final third and had several shots on goal blocked in the first half. Better in the second setting up Forrest and Sinclair. Dazzling footwork inside the box getting away from two players but could only find the side netting with his shot.
James Forrest 6/10
Good run at the defence and forced the ‘keeper to make a good save at his near post. Linked up with Rogic but his shot was right at the ‘keeper.
Scott Sinclair 7/10
Hogged the touchline on the left wing and beat his man with a fair amount of success. Had a good chance to score from close range but couldn’t direct his header on goal from Boyata’s flick on. Found himself in a good position to score but couldn’t get the ball out from under his feet.
Moussa Dembele 5.5/10
Great play early on linking up with Forrest and saw his shot well-saved. Rarely saw the ball into his feet otherwise. Shot wide from outside the box.
Leigh Griffiths 6.5/10
Came on for Dembele with 25 minutes to go in the game. Live wire when he came on and looked to get on the ball and get at the defence. Delivered a great ball into Hendry late on and shot over himself in the final minutes.
Odsonne Edouard 6/10
Substituted on for Sinclair with 25 minutes to go. Made a few runs at the defence but was muscled off the ball or fouled.
Olivier Ntcham 6/10
Replaced Rogic with 25 minutes left to play. Involved defensively and in attack as Celtic chased a winning goal.
