Robinson hails Edouard quality after brace against Motherwell

Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson has heaped praise on Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard after he scored twice against his side on Sunday.

Robinson has hailed the quality of Edouard’s second goal in the game, as Celtic won the match 4-1.

It was only Edouard’s second start of 2019, but he struck twice to send Celtic well clear at the top of the table. Celtic are currently eight points above Rangers, who are second in the league.

As quoted by HITC, via Motherwell’s YouTube channel, after the game, Robinson said this:

I can take a lot of positives out of the performance. The third goal (from Eduoard) was an incredible goal. You can’t stop that. That’s why they paid a heck of a lot of money for him.

The goal Robinson is referring to was a superb free-kick from Edouard, which nestled into the top corner from distance.

Edouard has scored 11 goals and registered four assists in just 15 league starts for Celtic since his permanent switch from French giants PSG.
