West Ham holding the key to Ntcham’s proposed transfer

Celtic’s recently leaked transfer targets included the club potentially accepting an offer for French midfielder, Olivier Ntcham.

The former Manchester City player has been linked with moves to both Porto and Marseille, with the latter now managed by Andre Villas-Boas. It had been reported that the Ligue 1 side were unable to table an offer without selling one of their own prized assets to fund the deal.

It would appear, as reported in the Daily Record, that Premier League side West Ham Utd could come to the rescue. Talks are apparently underway between the English club and Marseille over a £30 million deal for midfielder Morgan Sanson.

If this deal goes ahead, then the proposed valuation of £15 million for Ntcham would be financially viable again.

Despite an up and down season, he is once more at the centre of speculation linking him with a move away from Celtic Park.

The question is, should Neil Lennon sell him? Surely a player who is valued so highly by big European clubs could be a main player for the team?

The chances are that Ntcham will leave this summer, and with a huge fee hopefully being made available to the manager, there could be more incomings than outgoings for the fans to look forward to.
