Leicester City, Leeds United, Newcastle United and Southampton are all thought to be monitoring Ryan Christie ahead of the January window.

That’s according to an exclusive report from 90min, with Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester the club showing the most interest at this stage.

They claim that Rodgers is a big fan of the 25-year-old, who netted the opener in Celtic’s thrilling Scottish Cup final triumph on Sunday.

The Foxes reportedly see Christie as a possible replacement for Demarai Gray, with the club prepared to sanction a January exit for the £55,000-a-week Premier League winner.

Reading’s Michael Olise is earmarked alongside Christie as potential targets should Gray leave, with the Hoops star having just 18 months left on his current Parkhead deal.

With Christie’s contract running down, and the player not showing a willingness to sign an extension, we feel as if the Hoops need to make a call on the player’s future fairly quickly.

Would you sell Christie in January?

He’s currently valued at just £5.85m by Transfermarkt, so the winter window may well be Celtic’s final chance to receive a fee in excess of that valuation.

Should his situation remain the same up until the summer, then the Hoops could be at risk of losing the player for a sum under that figure.
