Plenty of Celtic fans have been reacting to a report regarding Frank Lampard‘s stance on the vacant managerial position at Parkhead.
According to Football Insider, Lampard will ‘resist the chance’ to put his name forward for the job for now. The 42-year-old will reportedly ‘recharge his batteries’ before looking at a managerial return in the summer ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
Lampard was sacked by Chelsea a month ago and has been linked with the Hoops since then, even when Neil Lennon was still in charge in Glasgow.
Celtic announced Lennon’s resignation on Wednesday morning, with his assistant John Kennedy set to take interim charge of the Hoops while the club search for a permanent successor.
We shared Lamaprd’s stance on a move to Glasgow on our official Read Celtic Facebook page on Wednesday lunchtime.
Here is what these Hoops supporters had to say, with a majority not keen on the former Chelsea man becoming Lennon’s successor.
Stephen Hunter: This would be a major risk! Not much experience for me to be honest
Kaiden Brockett: Could you imagine him and Gerrard with two of the biggest clubs in Scotland don’t think he would be right for Celtic if I am honest but
Chris Hart: I’d rather have his uncle Harry
Ed Dalgliesh: No way
Tom Hamill: Not good enough
Samuel Dickson: Not him sorry he will set us back years
Michael Murphy: Wouldn’t want him. Tactically inept…
