Well, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere, the news that all Celtic fans have been dreading burst into the mainstream last night! Keith Jackson’s “exclusive” reported a mega multi-million pound Ibrox take over is imminent from U.S. NFL franchise, the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s a far cry from his Monday article where he stated the Ibrox side was a ‘ghost ship’.
Celtic’s days as the dominant force in Scottish are now numbered.
In fact, a return to the dark old days of the 90’s could be on the cards.
With the Ibrox side trampling all over us with their jackboots once again.
The fenian upstarts are going to be well and truly put back in their box.
Cries of ‘we arra peepul’ were heard from the rooftops all over Glasgow last night after Jackson’s exclusive piece was released.
Now, most in the blogosphere have already reported, in depth, what’s unfolding at Ibrox as we speak.
I’m not going to scare you any further with the gory details, they can all be found in the link to pulitzer prize winning journalist, Keith Jackson’s especiales repuerta.
No, I’ll focus on the repercussions for Celtic.
That three year contract Brendan Rodgers has?
Once it’s reached it’s conclusion, his best bet is to pack his bags and head down south again.
It will spare him the humiliation of succumbing to the imminent Ibrox domination.
And as for our board?
Well, well, well, this is going to be far too much for them to cope with.
Have you ever heard the saying, be careful what you wish for?
Pistol Pete has been wishing for this day since Dave Murray sold the old club to the “billionaire with wealth off the radar” for a quid.
He must be in the throes of ecstasy in the knowledge that as of today, O** F*** inc. is once again alive and kicking!
I just don’t think he’s aware of what lies ahead though.
A Scottish football landscape where Celtic play second fiddle to the Ibrox side.

He might have wanted a competitive Ibrox side, well, now he’s got one that will wipe the floor with us.
I understand now why they’ve been stockpiling all of that cash.
This was the rainy day Pete kept referring to, he just never put it into words.
What he really wanted to say was this:
We’re keeping all of this cash so that we can compete with the Ibrox side when they get that inevitable multi-million pound investment a club the size and stature of theirs was always going to get.
We knew since 2012, it was only ever going to be a matter of time.
The problem now is that our rainy day fund probably won’t even be enough to keep up with them.
But I’m glad now you finally understand why we did it.
It does indeed spell dark days ahead for Celtic football club.
But I have no doubt that Peter Lawwell and the board now feel vindicated for stockpiling the levels of cash they have been all these years.
It now makes perfect sense.
For the San Francisco 49ers, and their UK representative, Paraag Marathe, this is all pretty simple.

Pay off honest Dave, the Parks and their chins, and John Bennett, who no doubt will want everything back that they ploughed into the club, with interest, and this is a done deal.
Simples.
It actually couldn’t be simpler.
Once that’s done, then hand a transfer war chest to Paddy Stewart, who is sure to now give big Phil the boot, since the club can afford to.
With said transfer war chest safely stowed in the Ibrox safe room, Paddy can go about hiring Pep Guardiola, and he can then hand the war chest to him.
Pep is looking for a new challenge as his Man City challenge has started to stagnate.
Who better than him to bring ol’ big ears to Ibrox?
A challenge I’m sure he’ll relish, and be more than happy to take on!
It’s all over for Celtic now.
Bar the shouting.
Which will be ‘we arra peepul’ from here on out, of course.
Ah well, we had a good innings, as the old quintessential British saying would go.
Time to accept Scottish football is returning to its true order.
Step aside Celtic.
Funny timing, the same day as it’s been released they’ve had to make up a share issue to keep the lights on.
Mega bucks hasn’t brought Newcastle much success. The game against Munich showed we can compete against teams much richer than ours.
Very entertaining and amusing article almost as entertaining and amusing as the death throws of both the daily record and its erstwhile companions the rangers , we can’t call Keith jackass a journalist or any of his chums at the dead record, we can only be grateful for the tears of laughter they deliver on a regular basis
But they are still snookered bybFFP they can only spend what club earns, they can’t be handed a ” war chest” unless they earn it which will take years, nothing to worry about here,
Eric,do you have any dates/details etc, when we’ll no longer be allowed seats at the front (or middle) of buses, rent a flat,or share toilet facilities with superior humans? I’ve been kinda expecting this day to arrive for some time now,but to my shame I’m woefully under-prepared for the reality. Oh well! At least i can say i witnessed a few decades of Celtic dominance…or rather we were permitted that privilege due to our masters benevolence, for which I’m sure we are all eternally grateful.
If you don’t have that information, could you ask Keith for me please?
You’ve made my day Bigmick, thanks for that hilarious comment. That will be getting posted on the RB facebook😂😂
I think the article is “tongue in cheek” guys! Don’t get alarmed.
Someone is definitely on the magic mushrooms. There is no way the blue blazers are going to take The Celts back to the doom & gloom of the 90s.
Celtic are on a financial secure footing with more investment to come, their stature on a global scale has increased immensely.
San Francisco = Saint Francis (Xavier) Saviour !!!!
Holy medals all round to the staff 😳
Aye ok very funny etc etc. what I would like to read is this is not happening. But it looks like it has some traction. Can I suggest you wait until you actually know something concrete before posting about this again.
100% deflection from their previous days “share issue” and confirmation of our mega bucks earnings from our CL adventures….nowt to worry about here Bhoys😜
So a share issue one day then a takeover the next day. Do they understand 49ers are involved with Leeds utd. So for their thick brains they can only put So much into them which would be nowhere near enough to get near us. They definitely live on deludamol that mob.
Look at the state of Man U with American Intervention
Nerves jangling boys

Only delusional people are the ones that believe this dross
