Yesterday, it was confirmed that Jack Grealish joined Everton on loan from Manchester City.
Everton were given a loan to buy option, with the price tag set at £50 million.
Normally, a move like that would be of zero interest to Celtic fans.
In fact, any mention of Jack Grealish and Celtic in the same breath would be considered a wind up by most Celtic fans.
But today, we’re being told that Celtic “expressed interest” in bringing Grealish in on loan.
You know what I have to say to that?
Genuinely, who gives a flying f*** if we expressed interest in Jack Grealish?

Seriously, who would be paying his £300k wages?
I find it extremely hard to believe that our board, who can hardly string together an offer for a £5 million rated winger, would seriously consider bringing someone like Jack Grealish to Celtic.
I wonder if their “expression of interest” enquired about a loan to buy option?
Don’t make me laugh.
You know what this does smack of, though?
Taking the piss out of the Celtic fans, which has been going on all throughout this window.
The board has been taking the piss with their derisory offers for Jakob Breum.
And had the piss taken back out of them in return.
As we’ve said plenty of times on the podcast, they’re submitting offers they know nobody will accept to make it look like they’re trying to land players.
There’s no doubt that they did that when it comes to Jack Grealish as well.
When in reality, they’ve zero intention of landing any of the players we’ve been linked with in this window so far.
That’s taking the piss.
You know what’s even more embarrassing?
To have been told by a club we took the piss out of that we should try and conduct our business like the Ibrox side.
The fact that we have been mentioned in the same sentence as that club when it comes to transfer business should shame the people on our board.
But we know it won’t.
They couldn’t care less.
As for Grealish and his comments about ‘never seriously considering a move to Scotland’?
Who gives a monkey’s?
I wouldn’t want a Prima donna like that near our club.
Can you imagine how disruptive he’d be in our dressing room?
Everton can have him.
But how anybody can take our “expressions of interest” in any way seriously, is beyond me.
Ah sure, not to worry, Dermot Desmond would have footed most of the bill.

Pull the other one!
This was done, if it was actually done at all, for show.
To make it look like the board were trying to go big, or go home.
The chances of Grealish ever coming to Celtic are somewhere between Bob Hope and no hope.
Anybody thinking otherwise belongs in cloud cuckoo land.
Like our board, you know?
Who thinks that a £1.5 million offer for a £5 million rated player would be accepted in the real world.
But they’ve been told, haven’t they.
Conduct your business like the Ibrox side, and then maybe you’ll have a chance.
Mortifying.

Why are you even giving this story air time clown
R u 4 real
Anybody who thinks we showed any interest in Grealish needs to stay off the drugs
Don’t forget the Go Ahead Eagles chairman ACTUALLY laughing at our board in his comments on our embarrassing offers for his player
does anyone 7 days later know who the go ahead budgie’s president is ?
laughing at who ?
i personally couldn’t give a rats arse
these bloggers are getting worse.
dearie me.
Jan Willem van Dop. I thought someone as knowledgeable as you would surely know that?
the 3 of them can get together this week for a blog
Wow Eric, you seem to attract all the happy clappers on your comments section.
The only connection celtic has to Grealish is that CalMac played alongside him at Notts County. That’s where this “connection” begins and ends.
Saint Stiffy, I’d love to see three Dutch guys in budgie suits have a blog where they just point at a photo of the Celtic board and piss themselves laughing.
There will signings this week.
Once again you will have wasted 2 months of your life on pointless articles.
Good man Stevie, I hope you’re right. Just a shame they won’t be able to play in our CL qualifier though. Great club management all round!
am i banned erik ?
Who banned you?
earlier today i posted a responce about the dutch guy, is there a limit on word count for posting ? either that or it disappeared/
Maybe so, I haven’t seen that comment…
We can add two Eric.
If signed by Tuesday.
Eric,
Agree on the club management as it’s been too slow for everyone.
