If I was to say that I didn’t expect what happened today at Celtic Park, I would be lying.
I expected it.
100%.
For forty seven first half minutes, I almost let myself believe that something different was in the offing.
But as soon as the half time whistle blew, I said to my mate, “We’ll regret not taking those first half chances, and the difference between us and them is that Röhl will make the changes that matter. Nancy won’t.”
You see, this is thing about Celtic at the moment.
It’s not hard to see the car crash coming, and it’s not hard to see where it will come from either.
I don’t like the fact that I was on the money at half-time, but I know why I was.
If you follow Celtic every day of your life, and write about them most days of your life, you naturally become in sync with the club.
When you live, eat, sleep and breathe Celtic, you develop something like a sixth sense for the club.
You kind of know when things are going to go right.
And though you’ve rarely experienced it until lately, you know when things are going to go wrong.
I knew things were going to go wrong today.
I wrote subtly about it in my article this morning.
All I said was that I feared for what could happen.
My fears weren’t unfounded, clearly.
We finished the first half in the ascendency, and should have been out of sight.
The team that came out in the second half was not the team that went up the tunnel when the first half whistle blew.
How is that possible, you ask?
What is it that alters a team to become so unrecognisable from what you saw in the previous forty seven minutes?
I can’t answer that.
I don’t think even Wilfried Nancy can answer that.
Whatever it is that causes Celtic to capitulate in the second half of every game under Wilfried Nancy is something of a phenomenon.
I don’t think even Wilfried Nancy can explain why it happens.
I’d say he has given up trying to figure it out after today.
Maybe in his next media conference he’ll tell us that he’s cursed?
Destined never to succeed at Celtic.
If he did, I’d be inclined to believe him.
And you know what?
I’m past trying to pin the blame our woes on him.
It’s a waste of time.
He is at Celtic because our board sabotaged a winning manager, literally raped him of the ability to take this club to where it belongs, and then ingeniously decided that Wilfried Nancy could do better.
That’s not on Wilfried Nancy.
That’s on the people in our board room.
The very same people who sneered at Celtic fans today from their soft seats, and afterwards from the Walfried suite at Celtic Park.
As a fanbase, we have stated for years that we would never end up like the Ibrox club.
Yet today, we were trolled by their support as they gleefully sang, “Keep the board” with great gusto.
Think about that for a second.
No, actually take as long as you need to think about it.
Think deeply about the fact that a fanbase who has been ridden by their board for years can somehow recognise that our board is now worse than theirs.
If that isn’t enough confirmation for you that we’re fucked, I honestly don’t know what is.
I don’t know what it will take anymore to wake up even the most ardent board supporter after this afternoon, but if today wasn’t a turning point in this never ending shitshow, then we’re destined to watch it all on repeat forever more.
Because as long as people keep accepting what this board is fucking at us, then they’ll just keep on doing it.
You’ll notice this evening that I’m past sugar coating things.
I’m past caring about using profanity.
Every time I saw the camera pan to our board today at my CSC, it put my hackles up.
I started shouting violently at a fucking television screen.
I might have done that when I was a kid back in the nineties and we were being screwed from every angle, but now?
The fact that I’m reduced to that is a sad indictment of where our club is now.
What’s even sadder is the fact that our board put us in this position.
When we never, ever, needed to be here.
They are the cancer that is eating our club from the inside out.
And it’s clear to see after today that they will not stop until Celtic as we know it is dead.
So, we have two choices.
We can stand by and let these charlatans destroy our club, or we can stop it now.
Which is it going to be?
The fate of our club lies in our hands.
Celtic needs us now, more than ever.
The Celtic Fans Collective knows it too.
So, let’s get behind them, now more than ever, and let’s take back Celtic.

Not an old firm supporter, but let’s suppose the board unanimously resigned and the major shareholder decided to sell. Who do you suppose would come forward to buy the shares and who would the supporters be happy with as a new owner. All football clubs need a board of directors to run the business on a daily basis. It is simply not good enough to call for wholesale change in any business without putting forward an alternative solution.

The only way to oust these parasites is financially. But fans will continue to turn up. It’s way past the idea of not wanting to hurt the club financially. Give the bastards something to think about. I don’t fault any players. We have seen the exact same scenario at man.u ripping teams apart for 45 mins but not able to finish it off. Without 3 big athletic centre backs this system never works.
Whilst all Boards can get things wrong ..and are entitled too,Our Board have went far further than that and disgraced the club. The treatment of our support at all levels is repugnant. They have ripped the Celtic family apart. Time is up and we do need to work collectively to bring change as quickly as possible.

Important for fans not to give their tickets to a friend as that muddies the water.
It’s supposed to be enjoyable but to be honest it’s becoming not worth the effort.

All the praise for the sevco manager change at halftime was not the reason they won their three goals were due to our players mistakes their second one comes from OUR throw in, we threw that game away.
