  1. ATM Hogh is top scorer in SPFL, Nygren is joint second on 2 goals with OGs, both v Huns, ie the Huns haven’t scored an SPFL goal so far🤣

  2. He’ll definitely score goals, and has a fine record in European games, against quality opposition. Let’s hope the pressure of scoring ‘big game’ goals at Celtic doesn’t play on his mind too much. As you say, there is a step up in fan base, and with that comes expectations. Some players can’t handle that. Kyogo scored 3 in 17 CL games. Despite banging them in in the league campaign, his composure deserted him in the CL. Real Madrid at home springs to mind. Let’s not create unnecessary pressure, and just let the guy do what he does. He’s instinctual, so over thinking is the worst thing to do. I rate the lad, but won’t expect hat tricks regularly – Kilmarnock were a shambles and got what they deserved. Kamikaze style defending doesn’t come along often in the CL, so his chances may be limited – it’s what he does with those limited chances that will be his legacy. Across most of their CL games last season, Bodo were matching stronger opposition for SOT. They were direct, creating chances, so service to the final third was obviously good. We need to match that to get the same return from Hogh, especially if we play with only 1 ST. We don’t want to see an £11m ST cutting a frustrated figure because the style of play is slow and service is poor. We need to play quick link up play in the final third, with early crosses into the box. Tierney will be pivotal on the overlap again this season, but I don’t have much confidence in our wingers to beat their man and deliver with quality. Yang? Tounekti? I’d start with Forrest before any of them. If Hassan is as good as they say, then it’ll be great to get him in soonest. Still leaves a skill gap for the LW/LM position though. I’m digressing here, but in summary, Hogh will score goals, just let’s not expect him to win games on his own.
