Celtic managed to pick up all three points in a scrappy 1-0 win against Motherwell to hand a defeat to Mark McGhee in his first game in charge.
Celtic performed very well in the first-half and could count themselves unlucky to only be one up, as they were in total control. In the second half, Motherwell got their act together and performed much better, but Celtic still had chances and had two stonewall appeals for a penalty turned down by Alan Muir, much to the anger of the Celtic fans.
The victory puts Celtic back on top of the league and opens up a two-point lead over Aberdeen.
So what did we learn from today’s game?
A strange description of the game “scrappy” Celtic were excellent. A Celtic win and a great clean sheet, happy days.
