Brendan Rodgers’ side will travel to Perth as they face St Johnstone early on Saturday afternoon.
After a thrilling 5-2 win in midweek in their Champions League play-off tie, Celtic will turn their attention to domestic matters and look for their second win of the season.
The Hoops are unbeaten in their last six games, and will look to continue building momentum ahead of Tuesday’s second leg tie against Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
St Johnstone are unbeaten in their first two league games this season and beat Celtic 2-1 the last time the sides met at Perth as the season drew to a close.
However Celtic won the three prior meetings last season, scoring nine goals and conceding just two.
With the team news below in mind, we predicted the team for tomorrow’s game.
Celtic
Patrick Roberts has trained and is recovering well from a hamstring injury and could feature this weekend against The Saints.
Erik Sviatchenko participated in full training this week and could return to the starting line up after returning to the substitutes bench on Wednesday.
New signing Dorus de Vries has trained this week as he recovers from an ankle injury he sustained a fortnight ago.
Dedryck Boyata, Kris Commons and Gary Mackay-Steven have all returned to training but won’t be fit enough to be involved.
Jozo Simunovic is still recovering from knee surgery that he underwent in March and has returned to training but is still short of match fitness.
St Johnstone
Utility man Richard Foster has signed from Ross County and could play a part in tomorrow’s game.
Chris Millar has been sent for a scan on a recurring groin injury while Tam Scobbie has also been ruled out with a knock he sustained against Hearts last weekend.
Ally Gilchrist, Dave Mackay, Michael Coulson and Keith Watson are also ruled out with various injuries.
