Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the club have received enquiries for midfielder Scott Allan.
As reported by Sky Sports, Rodgers revealed that there has been interest from other clubs, with the player looking set to leave Celtic this month.
When quizzed on Allan’s future, Rodgers spoke highly of the midfielder, despite his limited playing time at the club.
Scott has been really unfortunate. He’s a player I really like. When Scott went out on loan the team here did really well. He came back in the summer after the team had two years of real success. It’s been very difficult for him to break in.
His attitude’s been first class, but he’s at the age now where he wants to play football. There’s been some enquiries for him, so we’ll see how that develops.
Allan has once again fallen out of favour at the club and his long-term future with the Hoops is looking bleak.
After joining the club back in 2015, Allan has been on various loan spells away from Celtic, spending time at Rotherham, Dundee and Hibernian, his most recent club.
He returned ot Parkhead once again over the summer but was simply unable to break into Rodgers’ plans.
Hibs have been leading the race to sign the player, with Neil Lennon keen about the prospect of bringing him back to the club.
