An ankle sprain will see the 23-year-old on the sidelines for their ‘upcoming games’ and could potentially cause him to miss his side’s home leg against the Scottish Champions at the Mestalla next week.
The news comes as a boost for Brendan Rodgers and his team with the promising Spaniard having netted eight times this season in 26 appearances including two goals in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Mina started Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad before coming off injured but Valencia boss Marcelino with still have more than enough options in attack with the likes of Kevin Gameiro and Rodrigo fit for the game in Glasgow.
Celtic looked to have had an injury headache of their own but it seems Oliver Burke will be available despite picking up an ankle knock during his impressive display up front against St. Johnstone.
