On Sunday we shared an opinion piece on former Stoke City midfielder Gianelli Imbula.
We suggested that the 28-year-old, currently a free agent, could be a shrewd signing to fill the gap which will eventually be left by club captain Scott Brown.
And it seems as if there is a possibility a deal could actually happen!
According to French outlet Le Parisien, cited by Celts Are Here, the Hoops have been offered the midfielder’s services.

Imbula, who cost Stoke City £18.3m back in 2016, has plenty of experience all across Europe during his career.
The DR Congo international has plied his trade in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 during his career, making 277 club appearances to date.
Former teammate Xherdan Shaqiri praised Imbula’s ‘unbelievably good technique’ during their time with the Potters while comparing him to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.
He’s accumulated £46.58m worth of transfers during his career, so it could well be a risk worth taking, considering the Hoops won’t have to cough up a transfer fee.
Should his salary be in the club’s price range, Imbula could well provide fierce competition to Ismaila Soro in the long run.
