Rather interestingly, Celtic have used the last two Fridays to make big announcements about the club.
Firstly, on the 10th of June, the Bhoys revealed that Cameron Carter-Vickers had joined the club on a permanent deal. Then, on the 17th of June, Celtic disclosed that Harry Kewell is going to be part of Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff from next season.
Those are two big announcements, and perhaps it is not a coincidence that the Hoops have made those comments on a Friday, to give fans something to discuss over the next few days.
That begs the question, will this Friday, the 24th of June, bring another big announcement from Celtic? Perhaps that is too much to ask for, but it would be ideal if the Bhoys announced the permanent signing of Jota in the next week, as it would put any fears to rest that the winger isn’t going to return to Celtic Park.
Celtic have been relatively quiet in the transfer market so far, with the notable exception of signing Carter-Vickers on a permanent deal, which to be fair is a big signing, and one which Celtic fans should be very happy about.

The Hoops are in the market for more signings, and it will be interesting to see if any more deals can get tied up this week, and possibly announced on Friday. Will Jota finally sign up on a permanent deal? Or could Alexandro Bernabei perhaps be announced on Friday? Only time will tell.
In all honesty, it is probably just a coincidence that Celtic have made two big announcements on two Fridays in a row. The Hoops will want to get the Jota deal – should it happen – announced as soon as possible, as he is a player that is likely to be in demand this summer.

This summer was always going to be quieter at Celtic compared to last summer, when a new manager was announced and a host of players had to be signed to help the Hoops compete for the title.
There is no chance of anything like as many players being bought this summer, as the current Hoops squad has already shown that it is good enough to get the job done in Scotland, and you have to think that the Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou will be looking to make only a few additions to his squad.
The signing of Carter-Vickers was a statement of intent by Celtic, and if Jota signs that will be equally as big a statement. Perhaps the Jota deal will be announced on Friday, we will find out soon enough.
