Keevins tells us that this “Celtic team is unworthy of the manager and the fans”. Martin O’Neill needs to pin that on the dressing room wall

The old fart is at it again this morning, sticking the boot into Celtic, and doing what he does best.

Talking utter shite.

I imagine that as soon as the tennis balls started bouncing around the Parkhead pitch on Thursday night, Keevins was rubbing his hands to together with glee.

Another rod to beat the “socially disengaged” Celtic fans with.

He says it disfigured the start of the football match.

Who died?

Was anybody seriously hurt as a result of this demonstration?

The only person I saw who seemed to be affected by it was Kaspar Schmeichel, and it showed in his performance.

Then again, he always seems to throw a strop when any kind of protest has gone on this season.

If he’s wondering why he was booed by certain sections of the support, maybe he should take a look in the mirror?

Added to the fact his performance was abysmal, he didn’t exactly endear himself to the fans with his behaviour during the protest.

Look, no matter what kind of protest Celtic fans do from here on out, the media are going to be sharpening their knives to use it against us.

Keevins will be at the head of the queue every time.

I think we all know that if this title goes to either Tynecastle or Ibrox, in the end, the media will try to blame the Celtic fans for it.

They’ll say that all of the disruption caused by the fans throughout this season was the reason.

Hugh Keevins thinks that Celtic is a club on it’s knees.

Well, for a club on it’s knees, its not doing too bad in this title race, is it?

Just imagine where we might be if we weren’t on our knees?

You know?

If the Celtic board was actually fit for purpose, and fans didn’t have to protest the mediocrity they try to enforce on us.

We were told by Dermot Desmond’s son that the gap to Europe is now ‘unbridgeable’.

It was certainly made to look unbridgeable on Thursday night.

Yet a club from the Arctic Circle, with an 8,000 capacity stadium, can defeat Inter Milan and any other CL opponents, when Celtic’s Operating Expenses alone could buy out every club in Norway.

This ‘unbridgeable’ gap is a figment of the Celtic board’s imagination.

An obstacle placed there by them, and not the environment we operate in.

This is what Celtic fans are sick and tired of.

Its the reason why the fans are ramping up protests against the board with every passing game.

The likes of Hugh Keevins might think that Thursday night’s protest was ineffective, but it caught the attention of the world media.

Media outlets outside of Scotland are starting to sit up and take note of what’s happening at our club.

Brian Wilson’s panicked statement after the game shows that this is starting to scare the living shit out of them.

Add to that the fact that Stuttgart’s Ultras unfurled a banner in solidarity with the Green Brigade, and you can see that the board’s position is becoming more and more fraught with anxiety.

The picture of that banner spoke volumes.

It basically said that any other Ultras are allowed at Celtic Park, but our own Celtic Ultras.

And that certainly does not paint a good picture to the world media.

The board clearly never cared what kind of picture the SMSM painted of them, but when their behaviour is being called out on the world stage, that’s a different story.

We play Hibernian at home today, everybody knows we need a decent win in this one.

And while finishes like last weekend are special, we could do without one like that today.

Keevins believes we’re entering into a fatal foursome of games.

Fatal would mean that these four fixtures are going to kill our season.

Well, that’s brilliant then.

Because we all know the polar opposite happens to everything Keevins predicts.

The same fans who shouldn’t be protesting against the Celtic board?

Because its socially disengaged?

Make your mind up Keevins.

With regard to his opinion of this current Celtic team?

One wonders what the Celtic players might think of that?

Especially those of them who are hardcore Celtic fans as well as players.

Like Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Kieran Tierney, and Anthony Ralston?

Martin O’Neill should pin that statement on the dressing room wall, and challenge his players to disprove it.

I suspect he won’t need to, though.

Keevins seems to think that because Danny Röhl is half his age that this confers some sort of advantage on the Ibrox manager?

O’Neill is a wily old campaigner when it comes to these fixtures.

If there’s one man who knows how to motivate players for games like this, its him.

The Celtic board better pray that his motivational skills have the desired effect.

Nothing gets our fans ready to tear the place apart like a defeat to the Ibrox side.

Losing to them twice in seven days doesn’t even bear thinking about.

No doubt, if this did happen the board would try to hang Martin out to dry, rather than take any responsibility themselves.

If that happens, the whole fanbase will turn against the board more than the Celtic Fans Collective ever could.

If they thought things were bad now…

Keevins is right about one thing though, like a stopped clock is right twice daily.

This board does not know what they’re doing.

And right now, they’re hoping and praying Martin O’Neill will get us through the next four fixtures still in this title race, and still in the Scottish Cup.

Hell hath no fury when it comes to what they’ll face if we lose at Ibrox twice.

Let’s see how they brazen that out, if it comes to pass.

Because tennis balls will be the least of their worries…
