There’s a lot of rumours going around on social media today that the Green Brigade may be back at Celtic Park for our game against St. Mirren next weekend.
Now personally, I’ll believe this one when I see it.
That’s simply because I just don’t trust the board to do the right thing.
However, I will say this, it would be utter stupidity not to allow the GB back into Celtic Park for the title run in.
Of course, it wouldn’t be like the Celtic board to do anything stupid now, would it?
The less said about that the better.
Rumours are rumours, but as the old saying goes, there’s no smoke without fire.
Its obviously a discussion point, so maybe, just maybe, we could be nearing a resolution here?
Shockingly enough, if the GB are allowed back next weekend, the board will no doubt be expecting the ultimate homage for it.
You Know?
A big thank you from everyone for being afforded the privilege of supporting their team at Celtic Park.

Because supporting Celtic is a privilege these days, isn’t it?
Indeed.
Interestingly enough, the fact that the post split fixtures have also been announced today is kind of coincidental, isn’t it?
Wouldn’t it be mad if the board had already pre-decided that they were going to allow the GB back in to Celtic Park once they knew what lay ahead after the split?
Now that wouldn’t be like them at all, would it?
Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next weekend, won’t we?
I wouldn’t hold my breath if I was you.
Obviously, the other big news today is that post split fixtures have been revealed.
Celtic’s path to glory is officially mapped out now.
Next weekend is a dress rehearsal for the Scottish Cup Semi-final, as we head into a double header against St. Mirren.
We will get some indication of how Craig McLeish will line out his side against us over that two game period.
As for the fixtures post split?
I have to admit they’ve been relatively favourable for us.
I’m sure you’ve seen them already, but if you haven’t here they are:

Believe it or not, the toughest fixture I see in there is the away trip to Fir Park.
I base that simply on the mauling we got the last time we were there.
Its not an easy place to go, and while we’re probably better placed to get a result this time around than we were the last time, I’m still wary of what could happen there.
Hibernian away is also going to be tough, but I think we have enough about us to negotiate that one.
The home fixtures should take care of themselves.

If we hit any kind of form, and if ( big if! ) we have a full house behind us, we should be capable of winning all of our home fixtures.
While Falkirk have shown they’ll give us a game, they haven’t quite had enough for us at Celtic Park this season.
I will once again reiterate that this is one of the poorest Ibrox sides I’ve seen in years.
We should have the measure of them.
What we definitely have now is a psychological edge over them.
Especially after the last two fixtures we played against them.
If we get stuck into them at Celtic Park, with a partisan crowd behind us, the sky is the limit.
You just get that sneaking feeling that the way the fixtures have fallen gives us the opportunity to finally build the momentum we need to close this out.
As for Hearts at home on the final day?
I think their title challenge will be over at that stage.
I base that on their performance against the bottom side last Sunday.
That was the beginning of their decline in this title race, and I stated as much on the Trinity Tims podcast yesterday evening.
That’s not to say that it won’t be a must win for us.
But I think their challenge will definitely have faded by that point.
All in all, though, the post split fixtures have been reasonably kind to us.
Its now up to Martin O’Neill and Shaun Maloney to figure out how we’ll get the maximum out of them.
If we can do that, we’ll be champions.
Its that simple really.
Key Takeaways
- Rumours suggest the Green Brigade might return to Celtic Park for the upcoming game against St. Mirren, but trust in the board is low.
- The Celtic board’s decision on the GB may hinge on the recently announced post-split fixtures, raising suspicions about their intentions.
- Celtic’s path post-split appears favourable, with the away fixture at Fir Park posing the biggest challenge.
- Home fixtures should be manageable with strong fan support, especially against a weaker Ibrox side.
- Ultimately, if Celtic maximises their fixtures, they have a solid chance at the championship.
