Kasper Høgh completes a sensational Celtic hat-trick inside 35 minutes of the first half against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Kasper Høgh scored a Celtic hat-trick inside 35 minutes of the first half at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock.
What an astonishing start from the Celtic striker.
Three goals arrived before the game had even reached the 35-minute mark. Better still, Høgh showed different qualities with each finish.
This was a striker announcing himself in spectacular fashion.

Høgh’s first goal demonstrated exactly why Celtic will want to keep supplying him from wide areas.
A cross was delivered towards the far post, where the striker had positioned himself perfectly.
Høgh attacked the ball and headed it beyond the Kilmarnock goalkeeper.
It was a proper centre-forward’s goal.
His second came from inside the penalty area.
Høgh took the chance with his right foot and drove his effort towards the goalkeeper’s left.
The keeper managed to get a hand to it. However, he could not generate enough strength to keep the shot out.
Two goals were already impressive.
Høgh was not finished.

The third arrived in the 34th minute, and it was another excellent header.
Juran delivered the ball from the right and hung it invitingly towards the back post.
Høgh immediately recognised the opportunity.
He attacked the delivery with a diving header and sent the ball into the net.
Hat-trick.
Inside 35 minutes of the first half at Rugby Park.
What a remarkable way to make an impact for Celtic.
The variety of the three goals should excite supporters as much as the hat-trick itself.
Two headers showed his aerial ability and movement around the back post. His second demonstrated that he can also finish with his right foot inside the box.
Most importantly, Høgh looks hungry.
He is attacking crosses, finding space and getting himself into areas where strikers score goals.
Confidence is everything for a centre-forward. Høgh must be absolutely bursting with it now.
Celtic supporters wanted goals from their new striker.
Three inside 35 minutes at Rugby Park is some way to deliver them.

No way Celtic can let Engels go he ran the show today and he is the legs in our midfield
Frankie… Engels looks like he wants to go. As for big Kasper, brilliant game all round. He’s an instinctual finisher, great movement off the ball, just don’t expect pace and too much dynamism. His first touch and hold up/lay off play were great today. Could have added a couple of assists among his goals if his passing was a little neater – but a hat trick at any level is always impressive, and immediately silences the exaggerated scrutiny following the Dundee game. Excited about Camilo and him both up top when the shape allows it, looks like they could really compliment each others attributes. Don’t know why Neil McCann thought going toe-to-toe with Celtic was a sound gameplan, couldn’t even beat St Johnstone despite scoring 3, but I’m glad he did. Top of the table, let’s stay there.
