Kasper Høgh could hardly have dreamed of a better way to score his first Celtic goal.

The new striker needed just one minute to make his mark against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Celtic came flying out of the blocks and Høgh delivered immediately. For a striker arriving with a sizeable price tag and plenty of expectation, this was exactly what supporters wanted to see.

The Danish forward started through the middle as Celtic looked to build on their opening Premiership victory against Dundee.

Høgh was brought to Celtic to score goals. Getting his first after barely 60 seconds on the pitch at Rugby Park is certainly one way to announce yourself.

It should also give him an enormous confidence boost.

Strikers thrive on goals, particularly when joining a club where expectations are enormous. Celtic supporters expect their number nine to deliver.

Høgh has now opened his account, and he could not have picked a much better moment.

There was already plenty of excitement surrounding his arrival. Celtic invested heavily in the striker after his impressive spell with Bodø/Glimt.

Now supporters have been given an early glimpse of what he can offer.

Høgh certainly gives him a physical presence through the middle.
