Tosin Adarabioyo Rumoured To Join Celtic On Loan?

As Celtic enter the final weeks of the transfer window, the focus has understandably been on midfield and attacking reinforcements.

But there is another position that deserves serious attention.

Centre-back.

And the latest rumour linking Celtic with Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo certainly gives supporters something to think about.

That’s the sort of depth Celtic should be aiming for.

Nobody gets guaranteed minutes.

Nobody can relax.

And if one player suffers an injury, the quality of the team doesn’t suddenly collapse.

That’s particularly important in Europe.

Celtic cannot build a squad around having an ideal starting XI.

They need a squad capable of surviving the inevitable problems that come with a long season.

Another Experienced Player in the Right Profile

Adarabioyo would represent something slightly different.

He’s not a young prospect.

He’s an established defender who has spent years playing at a level Celtic regularly aspire to compete against.

Sometimes that’s exactly what a squad needs.

Not another player who needs to learn the level.

A player who already knows it.

If the Tosin Adarabioyo loan rumour has substance, Celtic should certainly explore it.

The club still have other priorities to address, but adding a proven Premier League centre-back could turn a position that currently looks adequate into one of genuine strength.
