Celtic manager Ronny Deila has refused to be drawn into the speculation surrounding the future of Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan.
The Norwegian refused to confirm or deny the reports that Celtic are in discussions with Hibernian over the sale of Allan, via the BBCSport.
“I can’t comment, he’s not our player,” Deila said when asked about any potential interest in Allan.
Deila has already entered the transfer market signing Dedryk Boyata and Saidy Janko from Manchester City and Manchester United, respectively. Turkish striker Nadir Ciftci also signed for Celtic earlier this summer from Dundee United.
Rangers are still pursuing the 23-year-old’s services and clubs in England have looked at the prospect since he handed in a transfer request, although it is believed he wants to remain in Scotland.
After the second of Rangers three offers for the Hibs’ midfielder, Allan requested a transfer away from the Edinburgh club, but Hibernian refuse to sell any player to their direct rival in the Scottish Championship.
