Celtic manager Ronny Deila has boldly come out and said that there has been confrontation in the Hoops dressing room.
The Norwegian was speaking ahead of Saturday’s game against Hearts and admitted he has clashed with every player at some point.
Ronny’s Bhoys were going through a so-called crisis after bowing out of the Champions League and losing to league leaders Aberdeen.
But the Celtic boss believes that his dictatorial and confrontational approach to management is rubbing off on some players, as quoted by the Scotsman.
With Nir, last year I didn’t understand where I could use him.
He was not giving me anything but again we had a very good talk and he understood what I wanted and he started to do it. Now you can see what kind of improvement he has made.
Others haven’t taken to his message and the spotlight is on Anthony Stokes and Derk Boerrigter who have been frozen out of Deila’s plans.
Not everybody has reacted as I would have wanted to these confrontations. But I treat them with respect and I have given everybody a chance and never give up.
But sometimes you have to take decisions because this is not a kindergarten, it’s a high-performance team and we have to get results, so you don’t have time to wait for everybody all the time.
Deila believes his methods and the culture and atmosphere in the club are all contributing to their gradual improvement.
I can’t see one player here who I haven’t had a confrontation with. A culture without confrontation is dead.
Celtic will be looking to keep the pressure on Aberdeen this weekend with a victory over promoted side Hearts. The Jambos have impressed and surprised some this season and currently sit third, four points behind Celtic.
A win for Deila’s men would continue their unbeaten streak and give them another boost of confidence ahead of Thursday’s Europa League tie against Fenerbahce.
What improvement is he talking about ,because we.re going backwards
