Leigh Griffiths has been ruled out of Celtic’s Europa League clash with Cluj, as reported on the Daily Record.
The Hoops take on the Romanian champions at Celtic Park on Thursday evening in the second match of the group stages.
Celtic began with a draw against Rennes, whilst Cluj picked up a victory against Lazio. Lennon confirmed at his pre-match press conference that Griffiths is back in training but is not yet ready to feature.
Why is it a big blow for the team?

The answer is simple. The Hoops are currently short on forwards due to injuries and suspensions. Griffiths is injured and Vakoun Bayo is suspended, meaning Odsonne Edouard is the only fit and available recognised striker in the squad.
Griffiths has been struggling with a groin problem and the club will be hoping that he’ll recover as soon as possible, especially with some big fixtures coming up over the next couple of months.
Lennon does have plenty of options in terms of wingers, which will be positive for him because then he can add something different from the bench if needed.
