Josh Adam signs for Manchester City

Celtic youngster Josh Adam has confirmed, via Instagram, that he has joined Premier League big guns Manchester City

The move had been rumoured for a while but the player confirmed it via his social media, meaning the Scottish Premiership champions have lost yet another young talent.

With no youth league or reserves competition, many of the talented Hoops youngsters have sought regular football elsewhere, whilst others have left with the club unable to offer the money that others can.

Adam, just 16-years-old was highly thought of amidst the Parkhead academy and will now look to continue his development south of the border with the City academy.

Whilst not close to Neil Lennon’s current first-team plans, players like Adam are the potential stars of the future who have left the club with alarming regularity in recent times.

Although Lennon’s and the clubs’ hands are somewhat tied on the matter, Scottish football really needs to find regular football before a host more youngsters head to England in search of action.
